I use gender inclusive language to recognize that women and other genders give birth every day and deserve dignity in their perinatal care. I believe in dismantling the health inequities that exist for Black, Hispanic and Latinx, Native American, and LGBTQ+ families by examining my own biases, continuously learning cultural humility, and striving to provide culturally sensitive and trauma-informed care. Birthworks against white supremacy and solidarity to all oppressed people!
